Important Public Notice & Event Code of Conduct

As a legally registered Community Interest Company in the United Kingdom (Company Number: 16175842), London Fano CIC operates in strict compliance with UK law, specifically Section 1 and Section 2 of the Public Order Act 1936 regarding public gatherings and uniforms. 

London Fano CIC is a peaceful civil advocacy organization dedicated to raising awareness about human rights violations against the Amhara people; we do not associate with, authorize, or condone or invite to acting in a military capacity on British soil. 

Furthermore, the displaying or wearing of foreign military uniforms, tactical regalia, or unauthorized political group insignia by attendees at any of our rallies is strictly prohibited and entirely un-sanctioned by our leadership team. We reserve the right to report any individuals attempting to display military attire, engage in surveillance, or disrupt the peaceful, lawful nature of our community events to the Metropolitan Police and relevant UK security agencies.

Media and Image Consent Policy: Documenting Our Advocacy

London Fano documents its public events, demonstrations, and advocacy activities through photographs and videos to support our core mission: achieving global awareness and accountability for the Amhara people. The use of media is vital for evidence-based reporting and community mobilization.

By participating in our activities, you acknowledge that your image may be used on our official website, social media, and in reports to international bodies.

1. Purpose of Media Capture

Media captured at London Fano events will be used solely for the following purposes:

• Advocacy and Awareness: Posting on our official website, social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, X/Twitter), and in press releases to demonstrate the scale and resolve of our community.
• Reporting: Sharing with relevant international bodies, NGOs, and governments (e.g., FCDO, UN bodies) as evidence of human rights concern and diaspora engagement.
• Organizational Documentation: Archiving historical record and internal reporting to regulatory bodies.

2. Opt-Out and Right to Object (GDPR Compliance)

We respect every individual’s right to privacy and control over their image.

Requesting Removal Post-Publication: If you see a photo or video on our website or social media that features you and you wish to have it removed, you can exercise your Right to Object at any time.

• Procedure for Removal: Please send an email to contact@londonfano.uk.com with the subject line: URGENT: MEDIA REMOVAL REQUEST. In the body of the email, you must include: 
• A link to the specific image or video post.
• A brief description of why you are requesting removal.

We commit to reviewing all removal requests within 7 business days and taking all reasonable steps to remove the content from our direct control (website and social media pages) as quickly as possible. Please note that we cannot control third-party shares or reprints.

3. Critical Risk Warning (Essential for Advocacy)

Due to the sensitive nature of London Fano’s work—which directly challenges government actions in Ethiopia—all participants must be aware that appearing in public advocacy materials may carry risks if those materials are monitored by hostile foreign entities. By participating in demonstrations, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
